Also, I'd been working on my first Foam Latex prothstetic which was Wikus' Prawn hand from the film "District 9" and I'd gotten everyone ready for cooking it in the oven for 3 hours. Well, halfway through, it not only burnt (smelled like burning rubbery eggs-sorry for the smell mom) but collapsed! The clay I'd used melted and the weight of it killed one of the fingers.

I did get a picture before it was cooked, but I didn't save the original mold (I guess I was supposed to have made an exterior blocked mold over the hand and then fill that mold... or something, I dunno how to do it). *shrug* Shit, well, I obviously did something wrong, but this was my first time. Damn mold took forever though and I blistered my hands sculpting with the clay...

Second... I'm highly amused by these photos;

This project has been a long one in the running, and not having completed the minor arcana (which I plan on doing someday, I'm just having a harder time with this set) and wanting to wait until that was done, I gave in and figured I'd post the major arcana since it's the most important set when it comes to tarot cards and I have no idea when the minor arcana is going to be done. But hey, I'm open to suggestions!

So, I need cheap places to stay in Vancouver, Canada, and suggestions on what to do for 4-5 days! Mom just told me that we can take a trip to Vancouver before my birthday (OMG YAY) because it's affordable, but I need to do research on hotels and things to do. (Just kind of sucks Supernatural will be done filming by that time, so I can't go down to see the set.) HAPPY! :D
03/25/09 -We might not be going to Vancouver now, turns out it's more expensive than she though... Maybe Arizona now since one of her childhood friends lives there. We can go visit Tombstone and a bunch of other historic places.

And speaking of Supernatural, I emailed the department that takes care of the music videos for the LA con this weekend... and the guy told me he never received my video. WTF MAN!? I mailed it last month, made sure the address was right (otherwise it would've been sent back), but maybe because I put it under my production name that's why he didn't see it. *whimper* not fair. why why why why why? Should've contacted them sooner. Should've, should've... dammit! I spent a good amount of time on that video and them not even getting it just throws it all down the crapper. Seriously, that's so not fair! NOT HAPPY! D:
03/25/09 -Omgosh YAY! I just got an email saying they found my video and put it in the contest! *does a jig* Now I just need to know which day the music video contest is!

Okay, so I said I'd be making a post about my time down in San Diego, but I just can't come to write one up... I'm too focused on showcasing some of my latest FX work! If you guys are squeamish, PLEASE DON'T CLICK THE LJ CUTS! There are a lot of gory pictures, and (I'm told) realistic looking wounds.

So I'm not a religious person, but I've been doing a lot of research on the character Castiel from the 4th season of Supernatural (because he really interests me and I'm sorta into the whole angel/demon thing) and though only two episodes of him have aired, I think I may know who our guy really is.

One last thing I was most curious about was would Castiel be getting a wardrobe change or will he continue to dress like a ‘holy tax accountant’?

“Kripke wanted to base the look of the character on the comic book character ‘Constantine’ I don’t know if I’m ever going to change clothes. Maybe they will eventually be worn to tatters and I will morph from “holy tax accountant” to “holy homeless guy.”

Does anyone in Orange County (possibly some parts of LA) know where I can SELL a used Laptop? The one I have now, I don't really like. I think I'm better off buying a new one.

Ever since the air conditioning at work today hasn't worked and it was over 80 degrees inside, I've been feeling sick with nasea and a headache! It's the heat. The heat! Though, I bet the NERDS I just ate right now are helping.

Knott's Berry Farm is hiring for monsters for their Halloween Haunt and I think I wanna audition. (I was a monster in 2002 and HAD SO MUCH FUN!) I can make the September 5th casting call.

I'm loving this new phone Dad got for me. Since I was eligible for an upgrade, I got a Verizon LG ENV2 with a keypad.

I can never finish icon challenges. I get a good amount and then flake out. (The Krycek and Sam ones were challenges, but I flaked.) I should just stick to contests... Didn't get as many Trick or Treaters as I'd hoped, but I was really excited when they all came because it was my first Halloween on my own. policepenguin called me on the telephone and seemed really happy, thus I was really happy for her. Hope Balboa Haunted Trail was a blast for you! <3

So my weekend went like this;
Friday, Oct. 26: Halloween party! (Got six hourse of sleep.)
Saturday, Oct. 27: Another Halloween party. (Got two hours of sleep.)
Sunday, Oct. 28: Worked 9hrs and then went to Knott's Halloween Haunt (Got five hours of sleep.) -No one was there and I got to go on all mazes and see two shows! KICK.ASS!! Have to do Haunt on Sundays from now on.
Monday, Oct. 29: Worked until 3pm because I'd literally gotten seven hours of sleep within the past two days and was nearly dead (not to mention sick to my stomach.)

I apped northerndark (Eben Olemaun) in polychromatic! And Fallen apped Stella. Here's hoping we get in. I'm going to try and participate in this game again...

And because I'm a bizarre little person, I made Batman Dean on YTMND!!!!!

On a more serious note:
The fires in California are pretty much under control. No one I know was hurt or had their house destroyed. Thank you everyone for your concerns as well as your condolences for the ones I'd lost due to other problems not relating to fire.

I have more important things to do five hours before I have to go to work... Like make this crossover comic of Silent Hill 4 and 1408!

This fairytale RPG, PENTAMERONE looks interesting. I want to join, but am conflicted between what character to play. I was thinking Davy Jones (NOT the Disney version, but the actual Pirate myth of him being a non-fish guy.)

I made a really messed up picture for a dream I had in Feb.

I also wrote a quick PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN fic for the third movie. It contains spoilers and appeals to the William Turner fans. It came to me this morning around 3am and I just wrote it now. I know, it's weird, I'm more of a Jack Sparrow fan, but I wanted to write this.

I also wanted to say a big HELLO to all the new lj friends I gained during the Zombie Ficathon.

I ended up going to some cave where this creature called Chronos reigned and he claimed I was eating too many of the souls and then stabbed me in the stomach... A bunch of cockroaches then came out of my wound and started attacking me where I had to plead with Chronos to stop...
